Default Hello.

Just getting permissions and saying hello. I am interested in using ImVox for two applications.
  1. Gaming on WoW...woot! I would love to replace the stuck up vent fellas and I hope they are not you! ooO if so then sorry and quit being mean -
  1. Business conferences. While I love Wow I do have a serious need for a private conference room with around 30 connections.
More to come...I have to run to Knoxville for an auction. Back in a bit.

Oh and ya ...That avatar is my actual WoW toon Crazyreign (Gimped it), DK Orc on Thunderlord (H)...Straight Outta Hillsbrad..ooO

Glad to have you here. Oddly, using imVOX for business conferences was actually one of the things that we originally built some of the technology for. On the back-end we have the capability to hook it into a phone system to allow people to call into real phone numbers to get into the conference- but we've disabled this functionality until we can figure out how to best structure it for gamers and with the most recent client releases.

Default Great News!

I would love to test this for you. I currently use vent and and like the potential; however, they are lacking in both flexibility and service

James,

Default Well we tested your software.

I got 7 people on a imVOX server yesterday...how do you think it went?

Well...I was truly excited when I saw this post. I should have know better when I didn't receive a response on some other threads.

Gentlemen I have given you ample time to respond to me and you have not, so without further consideration I will have to rank your software dead last behind Vent, TS and even Skype. It crashed and burned horribly when we were just at seven people online.

I will be using some form of this technology in the very near future and I was hoping it was imVOX. The software looks very good but having issues like we did and no one caring about it is usually the end of a company before it even gets started.

If i am wrong let me know.

Sincerely,

James R. Jarman

Hi James,

I apologize for you having a poor experience and feeling that we weren't listening. To be 100% honest, I didn't realize that you had a support issue and it wasn't clear to me what the error or problem was. My computer was being repaired this weekend as well so I have been away from the forums. You said that you got 7 people on a server, and I really didn't guess that it didn't work for you.

Vent, TS and Skype have existed for years and we've got some catching up to do. We have two fulltime programmers working on imVOX and we are looking for more to work with us. We don't have a fulltime QA department so detailed feedback is highly important for us being able to diagnose a problem and make it a better experience for everyone.

If you could let us know what your specific issues were and provide logs if possible then we can work toward fixing the issue. We really don't know about problems if we're not told upfront in either an email to support or someone posting in the Support forum.

Let me know how we can help and we'll do our best to make it happen.

Thanks!
